robot birthday party.

Noah turned 5. There was no way to turn back the clock no matter how many baby pictures I looked at or how long I looked at them. He is a big boy.
And we celebrated with a robot party.

I made his cake. Um, 2 cakes. Because the first one FAILED. So, here is cake plan b surrounded by cupcakes that we bought because there was no more time for baking.

The goodie bags were ziplock bags filled with wind-up walking robots, rock’em sock’em robot rings, and party blowers…I found the labels for the top here and resized them to fit, cut them out, folded them, and stapled.

We had “nuts & bolts” snack mix that consisted of little pretzel sticks, Cheez-Its, multi-grain Cheerios, and m&m’s. The kids loved it…big time.

There were so many great ideas for this party but there was just no time for all of them. Noah had a game before the party and in fact, came to his party still wearing his uniform.
I am glad that Auntie had time to make the robot cut-out!

Another thing I was glad I had time for were blocks of wood with little robots painted on them. I had planned to use them as decorations but ended up putting them to use as weights for the napkins, plates, and paper cups. It was a cute way to protect them from the breeze.

It was a good time. Thanks to everyone who helped, came to the party, and for the wonderful gifts!
