Pilgrim Girl costume

Halloween is over.
But for Chloe there is never a bad time to dress up. We were given the option of choosing from Costume Supercenter’s Thanksgiving costumes and she bounced between a little Native American princess and a Pilgrim Girl Costume. When she caught sight of the apron and bonnet…it was decided.

My kids are not in school yet but this would really be a great costume for a pageant depicting the events that our culture bases Thanksgiving upon. I used dressing up as a learning opportunity with Chloe and we read “Off to Plymouth Rock” to help explain what she was wearing and to explain why we celebrate Thanksgiving in America.

The material is heavy and the back zippers like a regular dress. The construction is solid and the outfit is appropriately simple. Much attention to detail is displayed in the pleats, darts, and puffy sleeves. How adorable is the little white collar, cuffs, apron, and bonnet? She looked so cute and she absolutely loved it!
