My dog is not easy to walk. She is big, strong, and easily distracted…a difficult combination when you are taking two small children for a walk as well. But I love to walk her because she really enjoys it and my kids are always excited for her to come along.

There is just no way for me to uses both hands on a leash when we are walking through the city to get to the park. I must have at least one hand for wrangling my 3 year old and 5 year old.
It took very little time for me to adjust to the lead and my dog LOVED it. I clicked it to stay short while crossing streets and accommodating pedestrians and once we reached the park I was able to give her a longer leash so she could explore and get the most out of her experience.
Now she is a sweet girl but she can pull hard. Especially when she sees another dog. This lead was fantastic. She lunged against the mechanism several times and it held securely.
My 5 year old son often asks to hold her lead and I felt confident in his ability to hold on to this one.
